Individual Therapy

For Adult:

Individual therapy is a space designed for your personal journey to wellness. You will meet with your therapist one-on-one on a regular basis which aims to help you (re)discover your potentials and build a life worth living by guiding you to a deeper and fuller self-understanding.

During the initial meetings, we will learn about the concerns that you have, and your goals for therapy. While many individuals aim to improve communication and relationships, find new ways of coping with stress and anxiety, break negative habits or patterns, increase life satisfaction, or feel better and more confident about themselves, everyone's goals are unique.

For Child and Adolescent:

Children often express themselves in indirect ways when they feel unease, such as behavioral dysregulation or sudden changes in their presentations. Our providers utilize a mixed modality of play and talk therapy when working with young members of our society. Play is often the language children use in order to understand the world and express their internal processes. It is also a vehicle to better understand the internal landscape of your child, thereby supporting the goals that ring true to both you and your child. Parents and therapist meet regularly to offer parenting counseling and support parents’ ongoing attunement to their child’s internal experiences.

Adolescence is a developmental period that is characterized by quick, sometimes emotionally intense changes in the body and mind. We offer deep, non-judgmental listening to teenagers in order to build a deeper understanding of their internal landscape, thereby supporting them in a more intentional living while tackling many sources of stressors prevalent in this developmental period. Parents and therapist meet regularly to support parents’ ongoing adjustments in connecting to and parenting their teens who are undergoing changes in various aspects.

Individual sessions are generally 45-50 minutes and can be offered in Cantonese, Mandarin and English. Please see our page on rates for more information regarding fees.
